Description
Remember the milk man stopping to delivery the milk to your door? Remember the milkman giving you a piece of ice on a hot summer day? This body style of the Divco truck remained pretty much the same from 1937-1986.

I worked during the summer months on a Divco for Twin Pines in the 50's which was based in Detroit. I was a milk hop boy meaning I would run the milk up to the door while the boss did the driving, We crushed blocks of ice to keep the milk cold in the summer. Our largest competitor was Borden and they also used Divco.

Hi James, Thank you for the comment. Sounds like it was a fun job. As kids, we always loved to see the truck arrive.
