CONGRATS ON YOUR SECOND PLACE CONTEST WIN. Very classy car f/v
Cliff Wilson
They were a bit large, but so classy. I bought the DeSoto from my neighbor for $10. That was all the dealer would offer her on a trade-in. I actually sold it before I got my license, but I drove it for several months, anyway. There was no learner's permit at the time. All I needed was to have a licensed driver with me. There was also no real identification stating my age. I looked 16 when I was 15.

Cliff, it was a BOAT!! I couldn't hardly steer it, but it was my very first car so I loved it. It was dark drab green and a 4-door! Lovely. LOL!!

Cliff, I love this! It sure brings back memories of my first car which was a 1948 4-door Packard!
Cliff Wilson replied:
I have always wanted a Packard, Carole. I missed out on a 1940 convertible, once.
