Built in 1878, the East Chop Light in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts on Martha's Vineyard overlooks Vineyard Haven Harbor and Vineyard Sound. From 1880-1986, the lighthouse was a brownish red color and was known locally as the "Chocolate Lighthouse".The light keepers dwelling was torn down in the 1930s.
