Can you imagine Ashland without Stone Park? As a Selectman, Henry Warren had to write a stirring appeal to the public to get the Town of Ashland to accept the land as a gift to create the park. Other members of the Board were concerned about the affordability of maintaining the park. Fortunately the public recognized the benefits of the park and were able to persuade the other Selectman to accept the gift. Thank you Henry Warren for your insight, your common sense, and for your perseverance in making Stone Park a reality.
